Automatic backup managed by Android (default method)
The application takes regular backups when Backup option is enabled in your Android device. Refer to Back up or restore data on your Android device for details.
You can check when the application last processed such backup action: -
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the My Portfolio - India app.
- In the top left, tap Menu.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Contact us.
- Look up value against Last auto backup on
When the application is installed or when a new device is being set-up, Android automatically restores application’s data from the backup, if it exists, and the relevant option is enabled in your Android device.
Automatic backup on Google Drive managed by the application
The application can also take automatic/manual backup on application’s private space on user’s Google Drive. Only one such backup can exist at any time.
For application managed automatic/manual backup on Google Drive: -
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the My Portfolio - India app.
- In the top left, tap Menu.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Google Drive.
- Tap Google account to select the google account to use for backup/restore.
Last backup date is shown under Backup taken on.
By default, backup is done only when the user taps Backup. Daily/weekly automatic backup can be enabled by selecting suitable option under Backup to Google Drive.
Tap Restore to restore from the last backup.
User cannot directly access the backup file created as such. To store backup files which can later be accessed directly by the user, refer to Take Backup.
